This article details the steps and information required to get started on Facilitron before a reservation request can be made.


Getting Started on Facilitron


Account Types Part 1: Individual or Organization

Before you can submit a Rental Request (Reservation), you must first have an Individual Account and/or Renter Organization on the Facilitron Platform.

An Individual Account is for persons who are requesting to use public facilities on behalf of themselves and not on behalf of an organization. All users on Facilitron have an Individual Account, regardless of if they are also included in a Renter Organization. This may also be referred to as your Personal Use Account.

                        If you have determined that you would like to set up an Individual Account, you can                                                   proceed to the next step: Creating an Account.

Renter Organization can be created so that the requester may submit a reservation on behalf of any organization they may be part of, rather than on behalf of themselves. Your Individual Account may be associated with one or more Renter Organizations.

                        Please note that creating a Renter Organization will automatically create                                                                     an Individual/Personal Use Account for you as well.

Account Types Part 2: Organization Type

If you’ve determined you would like to set up a Renter Organization on the platform, you will then need to determine if your organization is Commercial or Non-Profit

                    Commercial Renter Organization will be the default for any organization that does                                                         not have a valid FEIN or 501(c)(3) documentation. 

                    Non-Profit Renter Organization can only be created with a valid FEIN and 501(c)(3)                                                   documentation for your organization’s registered name. 

Once you have determined what Organization Type you would like to set up, you can proceed to Creating an Account.


Creating an Account

  1. Click Sign Up at Facilitron.com and select your account type - Non-Profit, Commercial or Individual.

  1. Complete the form, including entering your Federal EIN if you claim to be a Non-Profit organization.

  1. After you select Create Account you must verify your account via email.

    1. If you do not receive the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk mailbox folders.

After Account or Renter Organization Creation

Once you have created your Individual Account and/or Renter Organization, you may proceed in submitting a Rental Request. Please see the following articles for assistance submitting your Reservation:

Please note that during the reservation application process, you will be required to answer questions about your event and agree to the Terms & Conditions of the Facility Owner. A Certificate of Insurance must be provided upon approval (please see What is a Certificate of Insurance? and How Do I Upload My Certificate of Insurance?) and the Facility Owner may request additional documents to determine your rate group.
