This article will assist district administrators with understanding their role on the Facilitron platform and in the Reservation process.
Please note: Each facility owner organization may have its own unique roles and responsibilities for facility administrators, and therefore different expectations than those indicated here. The list below is intended to be a general guideline.
District vs. School Site Administrator
While school site administrators schedule internal reservations and maintenance blocks and review/pre-approve external reservations requested at their specific school site, district administrators usually have the role of supervising all facility use by schools within the district.
The district administrator may be the final approver of external renter requests, or simply the overseer of community activity.
District Administrator Roles and Responsibilities
A district administrator may have the following responsibilities:
- Managing requests for facility use at the district office or other facilities not monitored by a specific school site and supervising usage by schools
- Reviewing community requests - this includes reviewing the requesting groups, editing fees, services, or equipment as needed, approving or declining requests, and communicating with renters and stakeholders
- Being available to answer general questions about district policies and processes, as well as directing community requesters either to the Facilitron rental site for the district or Facilitron Support
- Working with your assigned Account Manager to become a power user, communicating availability for external rental requests, and updating Facilitron with district policy and process changes as needed
